Intitulado "Patient Zero", o vídeo foi realizado pela própria Taylor Swift e junta os atores Dakota Johnson e Colin Farrell numa história cheia de mistério e tensão.  

O tema faz parte de "The Life of a Showgirl: Encore Edition", a edição especial do mais recente álbum de Taylor Swift que, desta vez, deixa de lado as histórias românticas para falar sobre as consequências de uma relação tóxica, recorrendo a várias metáforas médicas para descrever um amor que acabou por se tornar prejudicial.

A cantora já garantiu que não gosta que as suas músicas sejam vistas como um “teste de paternidade” para descobrir de quem fala cada letra. Em entrevista, explicou que a inspiração para “Patient Zero” surgiu depois de uma conversa entre amigas sobre ex-namorados e padrões de relacionamentos tóxicos.

O vídeo estreou nos MTV Video Music Awards 2026 e já pode ser visto no canal oficial da artista no YouTube.
