De ano para ano repete-se o desfile. Estrelas do cinema e da televisão reuniram-se em Los Angeles no domingo (11 janeiro) para a 83ª cerimónia dos Globos de Ouro, e "Battle After Battle" e a minissérie "Adolescence" foram os grandes vencedores da noite, somando 4 Globos cada.
Mas já lá vamos, porque um dos pontos altos da noite teve como protagonista o ator Wagner Moura, vencedor-surpresa em Drama pelo seu papel no thriller político "O Agente Secreto", tornando-se o primeiro brasileiro a vencer o prémio. A vitória segue-se ao sucesso de Fernanda Torres no ano passado com "Ainda Estou Aqui".
“Este é um filme sobre a memória – ou a falta de memória – e o trauma geracional”, disse Moura. “Acredito que, se o trauma pode ser transmitido entre gerações, os valores também. Por isso, isto é para os que mantêm os seus valores em momentos difíceis.”
O Agente Secreto venceu também na categoria de Melhor Filme (Língua Não Inglesa).
Claro favorito nesta época de prémios, "Batalha Atrás de Batalha" venceu na categoria de Melhor Filme (Comédia ou Musical), Melhor Atriz Secundária para Teyana Taylor, e Melhor Realizador e Melhor Argumento, ambos para Paul Thomas Anderson, que se tornou o segundo cineasta, depois de Oliver Stone, a arrecadar os prémios de Realizador, Argumento e Filme (como produtor) nos Globos.
Entre os outros grandes vencedores da noite esteve Timothée Chalamet, que arrecadou o primeiro Globo de Ouro (Melhor Ator em Comédia ou Musical) por Marty Supreme, superando George Clooney e Leonardo DiCaprio. Aos 30 anos, corre o "risco" de conquistar o primeiro Óscar pelo seu papel na obra que marca a estreia a solo de Josh Safdie atrás das câmaras.
Na televisão, "Adolescência" da Netflix conquistou os prémios Melhor Minissérie e interpretações para Erin Doherty, Stephen Graham e o jovem de 16 anos Owen Cooper.
O argumentista da série de 4 episódios, Jack Thorne, fez um discurso intenso, lembrando: “Algumas pessoas pensam que a nossa série é sobre a razão por que devemos ter medo dos jovens. Não é. É sobre a sujidade e os destroços que lhes deixámos no caminho.”
A música, como habitualmente, esteve em destaque. E, "Golden", do filme de animação "Guerreiras do K-pop"(Netflix), ganhou mais um prémio - "Melhor Canção Original" - depois dos Critic's Choice Awards, reforçando o seu favoritismo para os óscares, que chegam em março.
A concorrência era forte: "Dream As One" do filme "Avatar: Fogo e Cinzas", "I Lied to You" de "Pecadores", "No Place Like Home" de "Wicked: Parte 2", "The Girl in the Bubble", também de "Wicked" e "Train Dreams" do filme com o mesmo nome.
Os Globos deste ano introduziram também uma categoria de podcasts, com nomeados escolhidos a partir da lista dos 25 mais ouvidos. Amy Poehler, antiga anfitriã dos Globos de Ouro, acabou por vencer o prémio inaugural por "Good Hang with Amy Poehler".
